Blessed

There's nothing to be angry about because nothing in this life is worth getting furious about...I must learn that....

Science themed random stuff anyway...

Stage band went well for what it's worth. We actually practiced but the problem now is getting them ready for the performance. We've only got a month to go.

Project on delay again...no blood agar...how the hell are we going to work...there's not enough time...sigh...

Anyway today had lunch with John, Jess, Shaun, Bren and Jo down at Sembawang because John wanted to avoid lunch at town where F1 is going on.

We had a great time just talking random stuff haha.

Earlier watched Final Impact with Joven and Brennan. The show's pretty good..very thrilling. Too bad its 3 hours long O_O.

But it was worth watching haha...

For all those going on internship or already on internship or going to take exams or have taken exams, I'm praying for you. May the lord keep you safe and may all of you always stay stout of heart and ne'er crumble to stress.

May all of you reap the rewards of your efforts.

Bored

Ok so i'm bored now...I spent the last two hours playing guitar to pass time...

I slept away the afternoon and i guess all the pent up gained energy is out to play...with nothing to do -_-...

Max is trying to sleep but I'm still wide awake. I wonder if my music is stopping my maxy boy from sleeping...hmm...

So many things I want done..but I just can't do them in time due to lack of access...

Curse you stuffed up Starhub....Starhub more like Star****.

So slow......How can it honestly take 15 minutes to download a 3mb file....

Fat green pipe...hard to believe maybe its the anorexic green pipe....takes in lots of data but vomits it all out...

On Sunday I had breakfast with Vanessa and Gabriel after mass. You can say we were talking like politics and stuff like that. More for Gabriel's use anyway...but hey dude we're in common. Korean guys are just a bunch of pretty boys.

Too bad though half of the world is obsessed with just looks...pfft.

So choir practice ended really early..so I had an extended lunch with Brennan and Daniel Lim.

Then to the doctor with Brennan to get some meds for my breathing difficulties..I won't claim the receipt from dad cuz i just went last week and I don't worry them or what not...

The project plasmid extraction kits are taking forever to come. After today there's gonna be work and planning to be done...

We got an A for our internship. Even though 50% of the time we spent fighting and the other 50% just getting back to normal with each other...

How did we do that C?

Regardless, what we're doing works well...We don't argue, we don't fight, we'll get it all right.

Sounds like a motto eh?

Tired Weekend

Well, I didn't exactly sleep well the last weekend but it was a good one though.

Friday's dinner out with Wee Yang and Zi Wei was a taste of the old life...getting together with the buds from secondary school. Makes you miss the days.....

Saturday I went to meet Alfred to get his cards for the MIP boys then go for the movie "9" with the band-its.

I STILL couldn't find the darn Colman's cheese sauce..... retarded I've looked for it twice and walked around the Supermarket at PS like 5 times...

Well on from there...the Movie "9" was not to bad. An OK story plot, an OK set of characters but decent animations. You have to admit although the show wasn't the most easy to understand or easy to catch show it has it's good points.

Go watch it and see for yourself. Be prepared however, the main story is about "Saving the earth"

After the movie we all ended up walking around Orchard aimlessly...with no destination...I love

this phrase...Destination: Unknown!

I happened to meet Vanessa Ng on the way back to Cathay, we then met Cindy....AND Miss Faith....what a co-incidence...

Now Sunday....after coming home from the movie I couldn't sleep properly....I just couldn't sleep...I tossed and rolled around for a few hours before really falling asleep...

Dreams clouded my subconcious state possibly wrecking my sleep.

Mass as Usual...

Had breakfast with Joven, Brennan and Vanessa. The MIP boys went to game again haha...

Practice as usual...and finally managed to pass Amanda the COE disc back. I appreciate the effort that you brought it but my fault for not telling you I managed to watch it already. Thanks anyway!

After prac chilled with Daniel Lim, Brennan and Jo for a while...then went downtown with Bren and Jo with John and Jess to the IT fair. (After eating at a strange beef noodle cafe called Lai Lai cafe, odd enough the store infront of this one was Ah Chew's cafe...get it Ah-Chew?)

IT fair was packed and crowed we defintely need to make the fair in wider areas. I didn't buy anything but soon...I may buy a new laptop....SOON......

Brennan got a new Phone...Samsung Omnia Pro with keyboard. Nice...

Bren and Jo both got new printers too.

So then we had to head back in John's Nissan Sunny...fully laden with 5 people...2 printers...6 mobile phones...1 guitar,1 flute, 1 violin and a number of bags....I could hear the strain on his engine ouchie.

So after getting off at Thomson I caught a bus to the Wong's place to check out Julian's new rig. After checking out the set up...seems that Eliott arranged the ram chips wrongly against the population rule.

That done we started to plug in all the stuff and then install Vista...I asked Julian for a guitar and Chris brought one down...4 of us were sitting down and singing Coldplay's "The Scientist and Viva La Vida" haha...

I really should learn some new songs...went home and did just that. Matchbox 20's "Bed of Lies"....

Nice song. Anyway thats all for the weekend...

Theres alot of work to be done today...Subculturing and selecting music for the stage band...

Clarice will be in later because she has something on....I gotta stand my ground....I can do the subculturing alone I guess....though the extra help would be lovely.

Well gotta get to it...Time doesn't wait for bloggers.

Dead.....

Sea Scrolls Exhibition was GREAT.

So met Brennan for the exhibition we had a good time, learning alot about the history of bibles.

Did you know that the one of the reasons the dead sea scrolls are so important its because it has to do with the bible?

There is a wealth of information to be had. If you don't mind going down to take a look, i recommend going.

This were some of the pottery found at the sites. The scrolls were kept in jars like these to keep them safe from the environment.

An ancient bible

A scroll with the book of Esther on it. In Hebrew of course.

More pottery found at the excavation site. Roman coins were also found scattered apparently.

Various bibles over the years. Above are various editions of the bible in various languages.

This microfilm contains all 1215 pages of the King James bible and was sent into outer space and landed on the moon! That small little square...has 1215 pages on it!

One of the not so fortunate scrolls that were found at the site, this one contains just a small bit of hebrew text.

Close up. That small piece on the right is the actual scroll, the left is an infra red zoom in.

Did you guys know that just a SINGLE character of Hebrew can translate to a whole sentence?

It was a very precise language that was very descriptive in just one character.

Talk about expert linguistics!

Sunday, mass as usual. Went for a game with the MIP guys this time with Keenan but without Gabriel. Daniel, Keenan and Nicholas vs Brennan and myself (Later joined by Joven)

Finally success we won them HAHA!

Went to Brennan's place to chill. We prayed the rosary together in a sublevel room in Brennan's home. Very ideal for prayer meetings and such.

We stayed around till about 9pm and talked about stuff. Brennan's going to study in February in Australia. God i'm gonna miss him. One of the best buddies/brother/kaki I've EVER had.

Thank god though for advances in technology. A sea apart but just a mouse click or a phone dial away.

Today I woke up with a neck cramp...I can't turn my head left at all :(

On the way back from band today I had a long chat with Wee Yang cause he was stuck in camp all alone. So we just caught up and talked. It's been awhile since i talked to good ol Wee Yang.

Anyway I guess I'm done here.

Today

Okay, today went to school in the morning to redo two sets of samples....

After that was supposed to meet the MIP dudes for a game but...somehow something screwed up somewhere.

So we didn't meet up.

Went to Taka to meet for the movie.

Ended up early as Michelle got held up by some surveyor.

So met with Shannon and Henry first.

Ended up just four of us went for the movie, "The Proposal"

It was pretty good i guess, funny stuff.

Went for dinner at BK afterwards and went to times to look for the City of Ember book...after watching the really thrilling feature film as recommended...I must say i'm intrigued by the story.

I actually want to read it.

We went to daiso for a while before we headed home. Michelle took the bus, Henry had to go to harborfront to get his laptop...so i took the train back with Shannon.

Had a nice conversation with her, to think I didn't think too good of her when i first met her a year ago. I guess first impressions aren't everything.

Some people are more pleasant than they seem :)

Well that's that.
