A red letter day
Yesterday was really fun. Performing at WAVO with Liz , John and Joven. We played celeberation and our arrangements were made the night before. I screwed up my first solo but it turned out alright due to lucky improvisation. I made something up and it still sounded right lol. But better try not to do that too often.

We were up at early 6 or 7am just to meet John at church at 7.15. Joven came around 7 and came with bad news...he did'nt bring the score..wtf bbq lol. Liz came slightly later and did'nt look very perturbed anyway about the news but when John came we started the Journey to Joven's house! We collected the score and headed off to the mandarin.
We practiced in the upstairs room for awhile. Then it was time to test the mics in the ballroom. One of the other commitee members organising WAVO liked rehearsal and wished us good luck later when we did the actual thing.
When it came to our turn we went up and did our thing and I tell you i was shaking in my hands! I'm sure Liz and I were the most worried ones for this but Joven and John are used to it anyway. I think i was the most worried of all anyway. I've never played a solo for a crowd so important and so large!
I did two solos the first of which i crapped up but somehow corrected by improvisation. Then the second solo which was well done. The crowd was quite pleased and the delegates clapped as we left the stage and the ballroom settled down to silence for the proceedings.
The lot of us went upstairs to pack our instruments up and get ready to leave but not before a nice cuppa tea. We were looking for cups, spoons and even milk lol. We could'nt find them at first. Just as we were about to drink up our tea, John comes in and asks us to follow him to the sound room to hear the GOH's speech. Boring and monotonous fellow, he did'nt seem to interest me and i don't think it would have even if i was a valuer sitting in the ballroom like the rest of them. After that it was a "coffee break" , the three of us went down to get a coffee and a few sandwiches. Joven was HUNGRY i tell you he kept eating lol. We went back upstairs because we were offered to stay for Lunch. Liz called home to tell her sisters where she would be. Then the long wait for 2 hours before lunch. We had John's laptop and John lent us his secret garden video cd for the time being. Then Joven and Liz went to play Chess on my phone lol. I was using my SD card on John's PC. After long waiting we went down for lunch. Then came back up afterwards to take a few photographs with John and the specially created score by Joven.
I'll post those up when i get them.
It started raining and we were in no posistion to leave yet. So we waited and heres where the phrase "saving it for a rainy day" stood true. To entertain ourselves, we did the "unthinkable" we tried learning tricks, coin flipping and pen turning. Tried to "learn" martial arts. Jumped and see who could touch the highest portion of the wall. Then we tried borrowing the PC in the room to see who could type faster. Then we tried doing pictionary with microsoft paint. We eventually outlasted the rain and made our move, bidding John goodbye and would be seeing him the next day ,today lol.
We walked out, through Takashimaya, trying to find the exit to the 162 busstop. We eventually found it. We waited and talked, boarded the bus somemore and talked abit more. Then realized the bus sickness was upon us...we met Alfred's mum on the bus. She's a nice person really fun to talk to. Nearer towards the home, we saw a little Malay boy board the bus with his parents and in his hands were....a SANDWICH!! We were sick from it. We were eating sandwiches for most of the day and were sick of them.
Liz got off at the parish. Joven and I went on to my place to play sims 2 for the rest of the day till like 11pm? lol. Anyway yeah thats about it.

Lost in the city? Nah
I was supposed to get my reserve flute serviced on Wednesday. I ended up walking around Singapore's business district for an hour because i fell asleep on the bus. Below are some pictures i took in my journey around Singapore's business area and towards Peninsula.

I went for my job interview yesterday. I hope it get the job. I could use the cash. Choir pract was alright. No strong objections that scared me and things went smoothly. I've got to keep it together and don't let my nerves get the better of me.

John asked us about ways to introduce songs. Liz and I were just trash talking about the song "I saw three ships" apparently suddenly it hit home that we could introduce this song as a gimmick to introduce it since it dosen't really make any sense why not make it funny?

We joked first that Joseph,Mary and Jesus were on the ships because they were on the run from the Three great kings and they were sailing on the mediteranean sea. But Wait! What does ships got to do with Bethleham and Jesus's birth? No sense at all , They were in a Desert not an Ocean!

Ah well that settles it anyway. I just watched Stephen King's, The Langoliers. Freaky show that really got me on the edge. Rose Red was scarier but Langoliers was very gripping. It kept the suspense up and ended beautifully.

Ah well off to bed now, gotta give Zi Wei the disk, meet Elliot at 12, meet John, Liz and Joven at 3 for practice and then i can call it day. Ah why life is so hectic yes?

Took this yesterday around 7.45 after Jess drew up a rather interesting list of songs we are doing for carolling. Rather nice i must say. That little blob in the corner is actually the mascot! Hes a bluetack....bee! With real wings!
Joven knocked some poor ant out of the sky with his bow and his wings dropped off...he later scavanged the wings and pushed them into the tack. Looked disgusting but funny nonetheless.
I need to practice more on the flute. I sound airy again. Bah....

Its nearly time. In an hour I'll be charging forth to bring the war in "europe" to an end. The end of the O's is near. Peacetime is nearly here.

They say Man no war. No Man No war. How true?

Tommorow is VE day +1 and the struggle to keep peace in History will come. As they say. The war for you is over.

Best load up, its now or never. No more cunning plans, for it will have to wait. Every student for yourself, god be with ye! Do you best and let god do the rest!

I pray for those who come from broken homes and families that they may do well even without the support of their family, may their friends give them equal support as their family should. Amen

Running out of worry!
Thursday is here!! REJOICE!!!!

Not....

Theres bio today, This is the BIG one. This one paper will govern what ever i have done over the past few days and i pray to god that what i have studied will be tested. After today I will have successfully completed to major papers that worry me the most. Tommorow i have CLB LC and Math 2 which barely scare me now. The only thing i worry for after tommorow is chemistry. History can go jump down a 36 storey condominium and i still would'nt care about it till next thursday at least. History is never a problem to me.

God, I pray for all those taking papers today, especially people who feel improperly prepaired for this moment, for those who come from broken homes that they may find strength in themselves to do well.

One thing left to do

....Banzai charge !!!

What it means to understand.....
I think i've had my eyes opened by someone i never thought would. Not so oblivious to problems of the regular human now are you Ben? Yes i think you've heard it a few times. Not once but many times. You've seen it man, don't lie to yourself. At least 3 times.

It really tells me alot. Life is not fair, neither is it easy. Some have it at the top of the chain. Some have it down in the dumps. Some are neither here nor there. No matter where you are you have your problems. Guy or Girl. Woman or Man. We're the same. We have problems. Different truely but we're all the same at heart. Human.

When life at home turns to be the worst thing to happen, life falls and crumbles as a person loses his or her one circle of safety. Problems in the home...come on you've seen it man...3 people you know personally and well enough have shown you their problems. Money...it seems to be a problem in the home. When a married couple seems to lose their togetherness, their children are affected. Guy or Girl it affects them both. You've seen what happened to your best friend in just under a year. You've seen yet another friend crumble before your eyes. One whom you barely know tell you her problems and end up feeling better. Then to hear the chilling and sad tale of another who is recovering from the fall.

They say that boys, guys or men are stronger at heart but au contraire, its barely true. The masculine human crumbles as quick as a feminine human...Your best friend had family problems for 2 years and is recovering. You have another who has just fallen into the problem hole. Another who has sucessfully climbed out. One who is too recovering. Life barely seems to be what we use to dream of as young children. Guess it was just a false image yeah? It dosen't exist.

But what of those who still have something left of themselves and still feel sane enough to help others out of the quagmire. What becomes of them? Who knows? Maybe God. Its a mystery that avoids me. I'll end here because my mind is flashing across many different plains, people and faces. Night all..good luck to all my friends taking the O's..good luck,.

Onward friends!
So today we did the E math Paper 1 and SS paper. E Math was a blast and really caught me in good spirits. It was managable and i have confidence for it. The SS paper scared me alot before the actual thing but during the paper...it was not so bad after all now was it?

During the lapse after the E math paper went for lunch with Zi Wei and Kevin at TP. Went back chatted and studied SS. Merger and Seperation at this time and viola it came out woot!

Went to church to study till 6pm and went home.

Now for my comments of a day.

Chris Wong, I know you think you damn fit lah...wanna make fun of people about their size and weight fine....but enough is enough i'm sure you're got enough brains to know the limit. It aint funny anymore it actually hurts me. Let me tell you something, idiocy exists everywhere even in the best families and sad to say look at the mirror for it is YOU. You are an idiot, to add that childish as well. Well lets just say an Idiot is an Idiot, your brains have gone to waste and then i stop to think..DO YOU EVEN HAVE BRAINS? You seem to be the world's biggest flirt if you ask me. Grow up and think maturely for your own sake. You're 15! Wake up your ideas!

I'm not trying to insult you here but i'm pointing out plain fact. Accept it, the truth hurts, i know it does.

Second attempt
My second attempt at photoshopping went abit more well today. I've gotten very bored with studying or playing now...If I play i don't play qualitively, i play with the idea of just a little bit and not too much. If i study i get bored after a while. I have math tuition from bro later, so i guess this will be my post for the day...bleah....still 2 more days...come on....

My first try at photoshopping an image together...its not very good but lol yeah. I got bored so i did this just now when i was sick of studying.

5 days to the first written O's.
Not too long now...

I'm getting tired of waiting for it seriously...

I have few things to look forward to during this period of great torture. I can't wait till life after the O's.

Yesterday after carolling practice, Joven, Brennan and I were drinking coke, milo peng and Coffee respectively at the coffee shop at the corner near the church. We stayed out till around 11pm for a little chat about things, just kicking back and relaxing. Birds of the same flock, right guys?

Yawn....i slept in the afternoon, re-done the math SA1 paper, did SS and reading through formula today. I trashed some old stuff from the previous years in secondary school, so what i have now are a combination of sec 3 and 4 notes and my sec 4 books. My room is at least starting to look ABIT cleaner. I bold abit because its really only just a little bit.

Right off to do abit more math and ask bro a few questions later.
